We will acquire and use your personal information by legitimate and
appropriate means within the scope necessary for our business.
Except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations, we will use
your personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the
following purposes.
Introduction, provision and maintenance of services and products
related to our business activities;
Customer management and communication for the smooth operation of
our services;
Planning, development, quality improvement and surveys related to
the use of our services;
Market research and other surveys, research and analyses for
marketing;
Exercise of rights or fulfillment of obligations based on laws or
contracts;
Communications and inquiries with customers, business partners,
shareholders and other stakeholders;
Responses to inquiries or requests from customers, identity

Conducting various surveys and analyses to improve our services;
Resolving issues arising from our services; and
Any other tasks related to the above.

in the item(s) of the preceding paragraph within the scope permitted by

purposes of use or they will be announced.
3. Management of Personal Information
In order to prevent your personal information from being leaked, lost,
damaged, etc. and to manage it appropriately, we will take the following
measures:
(1) Organizational Safety Control Measures
We will establish internal regulations regarding the protection of
personal information, appoint a person responsible for the handling of
personal information and promote various measures to establish a
control system for the protection of personal information within our
company.
To prevent personal information from being leaked, lost, damaged and
accessed without authorization, we will take necessary and appropriate
measures in accordance with internal rules and routinely audit these
measures.
(2) Personal Safety Management Measures
We will provide training for our employees regarding the proper

We will include the proper handling and confidentiality of personal
information in our work rules and encourage compliance among our

media and documents that contain personal information from being

Electricity retailers
An electricity retailer is an operator who is not subject to the
grounds for refusal of registration stipulated in Article 2-5,
Paragraph 1 of the Electricity Business Act (Act No. 170 of July 11,
1964) and who was registered by the Minister of Economy, Trade and
Industry as a retail electricity business operator (including
operators who are deemed to be registered as retail electricity
business operators pursuant to the Supplementary Provisions of the Act
Partially Amending the Electricity Business Act, etc. (Act No. 72 of

Demand control contract holders
A demand control contract holder is a business operator that concluded
a demand reduction adjustment supply contract with a general
electricity transmission and distribution utility operator or a member
that is an electricity distribution business operator (including
businesses that obtained a business code before concluding a contract)

supply contracts, etc.”)
“Mediate the termination of retail supply contracts” refers to when a
business operator who received an application for a new retail supply
contract, etc. from a customer makes an application to the existing
business operator to terminate the retail supply contract, etc. on the
customer’s behalf.
